ICDL has been recognised as a qualified IT standard in Vietnam, thanks to a new Circular issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) on 3 November.

ICDL Americas participated in the 2015 National Science and Technology Fair in St. Vincent and the Grenadines recently. The event, which was organised by the Ministry of Education, took place at the Girl Guides Headquarters. This year’s exhibition was held under the theme: “Scientific and Technological Literacy: An Imperative for a Green Vincentian Society”.
On November 12 in La Serena, Chile, VirtualCap and Lógico Consultores organised an event where the Advanced Education Seminar was held. Two hundred people who belong to 120 different educational institutions of the region participated.
The project of certification of digital skills finalised with more than 400 teachers being certified by ICDL in Medellin, Colombia
The Ministry of Education of Medellin and ICDL Colombia have been promoting since 2014 the project called "International Certification of Digital Skills for qualified teachers of Medellin" that finalised in November this year with more than 400 regional teachers being certified by the international certification ICDL among a group of 700 teachers.
With the objective of promoting the culture of teleworking in Colombia, the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology will begin a process of training and certification of its workers in digital skills related to teleworking.
With the objective of analysing the level of digital skills in Mexico, ICDL Americas conducted a series of surveys at the Book Fair of León in the León Poliforum. The aim was to gather information in relation to the levels of ICT knowledge and skills in three different groups of the population: students, workers and teachers.
