ICDL Americas participated in the 2015 National Science and Technology Fair in St. Vincent and the Grenadines recently. The event, which was organised by the Ministry of Education, took place at the Girl Guides Headquarters. This year’s exhibition was held under the theme: “Scientific and Technological Literacy: An Imperative for a Green Vincentian Society”.

The Education Officer responsible for Science in the Ministry of Education, Amaala Mohammed, who coordinated the event, said that the aim of the fair was to develop a greater appreciation for science among students and the general population.

ICDL Americas Accreditation Consultant, Jenelle Ross Mc-Intyre, together with local Accredited Test Centre, the National Centre of Technological Innovation, participated in the event, offering information to interested participants, including students, teachers and other members of the educational sector.

Jenelle Ross Mc-Intyre delivered a presentation about the ICDL digital skills certification, and its benefits for the educational sector and the importance of safety while online. The audience also had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about ICDL at the ICDL Americas exhibition booth.
